A Class "C" River! Cocodriles! National Park Carrara

Think twice before launching in this river. Rio Tarcoles a must see for those who haven't seen a Crocodile in person. Incredible, prehistoric, and loads of them sunning near the highway on the way to Parque Nationale Carrara where we spent the better part of a day hiking and viewing Costa Rican wildlife. We saw Scarlet macaws, toucans, lizards, irridescent butterflies, kotamundis, and other animals we have yet to identify. This park is where the dry tropical rainforest meets with the southern more humid rainforest. Notice the croc trailing what looks like a long rope--perhaps it was a water skier on the other end?
